E-Glass Assembled Roving for Sheet Molding Compound (SMC)
SMC assembled roving is suitable for reinforcing unsaturated polyester, vinyl resin, etc. It has good cutting performance, good dispersion, less hairiness, fast penetration and low static electricity.
(1) Mainly used in the field of structural products, can be used to manufacture automobile bumpers and other parts. (2) Mainly used in the production of high surface quality SMC products, can be used to manufacture ceilings, door panels and so on. It can be used to manufacture automobile parts and other products with high surface quality. It is mainly used for the production of automobile ceilings.
SMC process (Sheet Molding Compound molding process): Initiator, filler, internal release agent, low shrinkage additives, thickeners, etc. are added to the resin, which is stirred to become resin paste. Resin paste falls to the main SMC machine on the lower film (commonly used polyethylene film or nylon film), at the same time in the lower film settled short cut into 25MM ~ 55MM glass fiber raw silk, and then look forward to the top covered with a layer of film, into a sheet sandwich roll. The rolls are stored for several days to thicken the material to achieve moldable viscosity, and the SMC is supplied in bundled rolls for standby. The rolls are unrolled, cut, weighed, put into a heated steel mold, pressurized to cure and molded, and then demolded, i.e., the finished product.
