Our High Strength S-Glass Fiber Yarn is specifically designed for marine applications. Made from the magnesium alumino silicate glass system, these high strength glass fibers have been developed to meet the needs of military applications. With over 30-40% higher tensile strength and 16-20% higher modulus of elasticity compared to E Glass fiber, our S-Glass Fiber Yarn offers superior performance.
Not only does it provide 10 times higher fatigue resistance, but it can also endure temperatures 100-150 degrees higher than E Glass fiber. Its excellent impact resistance, thanks to its high elongation to break, makes it ideal for marine use. Additionally, it boasts high aging and corrosion resistance, as well as quick resin wet-out properties.
The high tensile strength and higher modulus of elasticity of our High Strength S-Glass Fiber Yarn make it ideal for the aerospace, marine, and arms industries. It is a durable and reliable choice for boat building, shipbuilding, and other marine applications.
